Client Objective

Belk, Inc. approached Frank Mayer, looking to modernize its wedding registry program and improve the bridal customer’s experience. The revamp included designing and engineering 35 bridal bars for key Belk locations as well as more than 250 freestanding mall kiosk registry stations to be placed within stores nationwide.

In-store kiosk intended for easy consultation

Manufactured with customer interaction in mind, the wedding registry kiosk bar could service two customers simultaneously and offer a welcoming area where sales associates could walk registrants through the gift registration process. In addition, permanent touch screen monitors located on each end of the bar swiveled between the customer and associate, providing an easy educational tool during the consultation.

Solution

Gift kiosk stations offered self-service options

The freestanding custom fixtures boasted a clean and approachable design and replaced outdated units in stores. Stations allowed quick access for customers to set up or find a registry and print out a product list using a printer easily accessed on a rollout drawer.
